Council of Patrons​

The council of patrons is made of former national executive members of various political parties, serving and past religious leaders, chiefs, ex-top security officials, members from the academic community and members of the business community. Membership shall be by careful selection by the secretariat.

Members shall be open to people whose past and current actions and inactions promote the preservation of the national peace.

It shall be headed by a chairman selected after the constitution of members by the executive director. The council shall meet at least once every quarter to access areas of potential conflict in the country and advice the group about the needed steps to take to intervene. The role of the group shall be advisory only. Membership shall be by careful selection by the secretariat.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The Executive Director is the head of the Secretariat. He is in charge of steering the group and managing its operations. The Director is also responsible for planning, organization and ensuring the effective implementation of the group’s policies.

The general secretary act as an information and reference point for the Executive Director and other committee members. He is also responsible for the maintenance of communications between the group and its associates.

The administrative officer is responsible for organizing and scheduling in-house and external events. She also manages important and confidential documents of the group.

The team is responsible for maintaining a positive image for the group. They are also responsible for managing communication with the public, media and other stakeholders.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OFFICERS (IRO)

The international relations office coordinates activities of members of the group in the diaspora. It also introduces the group to groups and organizations with similar interests outside the shores of Ghana. It shall consist of a network of Coordinators across the globe. It is headed by three coordinators appointed by the secretariat.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE (BDC)

The business development committee (BDC) is made up of a group of Thirty Three (33) business men and women drawn from the sixteen regions of the country and abroad. The committee shall determine and advise the secretariat on areas where the group can invest to help the poor and the very vulnerable in the society to alleviate poverty. It shall also access all business dealings of the group and the nation at large and give value for money advise. It is headed by a chairman and a deputy and report to the secretary.

PEACE COORDINATORS CORPS (PCC)

The Peace Coordinators Corps (PCC) is made of a group of young men and women from the various political parties trained by the group at the Kofi Annan International Peace Training Centre (KAIPTC) spread across the country as peace ambassadors. The country has been divided into two zones and each zone is headed by a national coordinator and report to the secretary.

RESEARCH UNIT (RU)

The secretariat shall constitute a team of expert to conduct research in the areas of Peace, Growth, Development, Job creation, Poverty alleviation and any other area that may be deemed fit as and when necessary. No permanent research unit shall be kept, however, there shall be three research directors appointed by the secretariat to oversee all research activities and access possible areas of research.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION UNIT (MEU)

The monitoring and Evaluation unit is required to monitor or supervise and evaluate the progress of all projects undertaken by the group. The group shall not keep permanent staff however the secretariat shall appoint three experts for and be given the freedom to appoint others not exceeding fifteen people to carry out its activities.
